Protect your wheels, wheel studs, and brake rotors with a STEELMAN torque extension. The STEELMAN 95385 1/2-Inch Drive Blue 50 ft-lb Torque Extension is designed to prevent damage to wheels, studs, and brake rotors by reducing the risk of overtightening lug nuts which can result in sheared stud bolts, rounded lug nuts, and warped rotors. This 8-inch extension bar will, when used with an electric or pneumatic impact wrench, limit the effective output of the wrench to 50 ft-lb of torque and anything above that will cause the extension to flex and absorb the extra impact. This torque stick is made of resilient chrome molybdenum (Chromoly) steel that has a blue powder coat to make it easy to pick out among other tools or in a crowded toolbox. The single-piece design is 100% calibration free for a lifetime of use and fits any 1/2-inch drive impact wrench or can be used as a standard 8-inch long extension with a regular ratchet. The female end features a safety pin hole and groove for use with retaining pins and rings for added security when used in a busy shop or garage.
